Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996 in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father is Argentine, of Scottish-English descendance. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four come from her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, after which the family relocated from the city of Victoria within London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatizing and that she was unable to take the time to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend following her departure from Northlands. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in productions of the school. After 16 she quit school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to become an actor. At the age of 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the chance to model.
